The 1st annual CLI Texas Festival will be exactly that - a Festival.
In addition to having an all day llama show, the event in Henderson, Texas at the Rusk County Exposition Center, will entertain thousands of people coming from all over the country - not only to participate in the festivities, but also to enjoy the arts and crafts (similar to the Henderson Syrup Festival) the event has to offer.
This is a special event that will allow people from all walks of life to experience the intelligence of these camelids.
Although the llama industry has been thriving in the United States for over 30 years, still many people do not know "what you do with a llama." Llamas - members of the Camelid family - are used throughout the country to produce fiber for fine garments. They are used as guard animals that protect owner's sheep, goats and other smaller livestock. They are used in many National Parks as pack animals because they are easy on the environment. They are used by individuals for hiking and recreational pleasure. People from all over the country and from all walks of life own, appreciate, breed and show their llamas.
