December 5 – 6, 2008

Introduction:  Enter your llama in a show where you will learn a lot about conformation and fiber.  Have fun while showing and walk away with a real understanding of why your llama placed where it did.  The judges will thoroughly explain their class placements.  Spend one-on-one time with the judges anytime other than when they are judging.  Participate in open discussion and enjoy good food.  All of this awaits you at the CLI Fall Classic in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

General Information:   The CLI Fall Classic show gives exhibitors another venue for showcasing their llamas, using fiber type as the distinction for class determination.  There will be three fiber divisions (Traditional, Silky & Suri).  These will be further divided by sex and age.  See entry form for complete details.  See below for a description of the three fiber types.

Traditional Fiber Type

  • Fiber length may be short, medium or long

Silky Fiber Type

  • Slick to the touch
  • Straight
  • Lustrous
  • Low loft (not fluffy)
  • Minimal to no lock structure

Suri Fiber Type

  • Straight fiber (no crimp)
  • Cool to the touch
  • Lustrous
  • Silky handle
  • Locks formed to skin
  • Types of locks:
